Just To Whet Your Appetite
GLORY TO JESUS!!!!! is all i can say following the most incredible crusade ever – and no wonder, because the lord’s promise is ALWAYS to take us from glory to glory, and his whisper is always, “you think that was good, you ain’ seen nothin’ yet!” glory to jesus!
you won’t believe but i returned home to a crashed modem so i’m operating off my b-berry until they ship me a new one. all to say, i apologize for this being so short.
[....]
as i settle in, i can tell you that things are cookin’ with JOHN – very shortly you will see a new web site with a whole new look. and speaking of which, JOHNATHON was a roaring success – lord only knows how many thousands were intro’d to JOHN through your faithfulness and we are still tallying the fresh donations as a result. again, THANK YOU who participated! and just to whet your appetite, “the plane hasn’t even gotten of the ground!” we are soon to meet with kay again to take a new step of her endorsement and involvement, and just yesterday we rec’d a commitment from nicole c. mullen to video an endorsement and begin to spread the word among her peers. there is SO much to report, but just to say, we are on our way now in a big way – again, you wll soon see. and this is ALL due the the faithfulness of you who have tread this path slowly with us all along the way, setting the stage for breakthrough, giving of yourself, praying and praying no matter how long the fulfillment tarry… i can’t say thank you loud enough. i am so totally humbled.
ok, now my b-berry keys are crying for mercy, not to mention my eyes looking at this litle screen. so let me say thanks again. and leave you with an email of thanks from pastor martin i just rec’d this morning. GLORY TO JESUS – THANK YOU!

In His Name
“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”

In His Name
· Can there be a more awesome promise? Just imagine, whatever we ask-anything at all-if we ask it in the name of Jesus, He will do it for us. Sounds simple enough, right? Yet so many times we feel our prayers are not answered – at least not according to our timing. Oh, yes, the promise is awesome but the problem is not with the promise but with the condition of how we pray.

Show Us The Father

Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father. That will be enough for us.” Jesus answered, “Don’t you know me, Philip? I have been among you such a long time!

Every Sunday—without fail, Amy walks to my church carrying her bible nestled against her chest. It is a white bible that she had received from her Sunday School Class for perfect attendance. But, you see—no one notices. Amy is Read more

In The Presence Of My Enemies
Hope Bruce will forgive me for “stealing his thunder” here. Last week as I was driving him to the airport we stopped by at a Mexican restaurant in L.A. And as always our conversations go from the personal, to always stuff about the film project, and then spiritual insights, that always seems to come so “accidentally.” I guess it is a common experience for people of God’s kingdom. When they gather to hang out, naturally their conversation turns to the sublime, and they make discoveries about the nature of the kingdom.
I remember Bruce saying how he realizes that in the Psalms it says “in the presence of my enemies you prepare a table before me.” Meaning, when we feel like we’re running up against obstacles or difficulty, God is always there ready to “prepare a table before me.” Ready to redeem us. Ready to put his goodness and awesome wisdom that is past finding out — on display right in front of the enemy.
I like that. That means, I can have peace in all circumstances. Knowing that the chaos of my life, means there is a feast to be had.
“Let him who has ears to hear, hear what the Spirit is saying.”

How Can We Know The Way?

How can WE know the way?
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

I’m Flying To Africa In Just A Few Hours…
Glory to Jesus, is all i can say in this humbling ministry God has laid before me – and before us together. It is the ministry of revealing Jesus – his heart, his person, his reality… Yes, whether it is the work of JOHN or the work I’ll be doing in Africa over the next 3 weeks, or the books God has given me the privilege to write, or the speaking events… we are ALL about one thing – him, him, and more of him. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! Glory to Jesus!
I’m obviously rushing – haven’t even packed yet – but wanted to touch base and tell you that things are about to change with JOHN. In a matter of days you will see a brand new web site, a brand new “look,” a brand new thrust… If you want a foretaste go to Read more

What Remains
well the saints have been praying and God is faithful! the clouds were threatening to rain, and the weather person was saying it would rain, but by the time we were done shooting the new promo video for JOHN, i was literally as red as a lobster! (we were working so hard non-stop, had no time to tweet!)
and you know what? through all that tough work, the thing that remains is the fact that everyone — crew to actors — were being faithful to what they were assigned to do. like an intricate clockwork, everyone had to do their assignments with integrity and utmost commitment and faithfulness. otherwise the entire project would unravel and we wouldn’t end up with a movie in the end.
what a wonderful picture of how life in God’s kingdom is like! all of us coming together in humility living our lives with integrity, honesty, sincerity, and simple rest in the grace of our Lord Jesus. simply doing what he’s given us to do. nothing more. yet, nothing less, either!
what remains, then, is “where you faithful out there?”
not, “were you famous?”
or “how many people came to your services?”
or “how many CD’s did you sell?”
but, “were you faithful out there?”
“…Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory” (Hebrews 3.6)

Hard At Work
Bruce and I are hard at work on the new promo video that will be featured on the re-designed “John” website. We will be shooting it this Saturday. We have some excellent people working with us, who love Jesus! Using their God-given talents for the kingdom…amazing! Maybe we’ll tweet about it.
